Monday at St Louis

Cruizin' down old Highway 61....  Anyone know what song that was from?  It was a wonderful drive. Overcast with the top down. Only thing missing was Eagles music. I sang out loud and proud. The cows and birds seemed to enjoy it too.

This is my how do I work the camera while I'm driving. Well at least I'm not texting.

The arch.

The chamber of doom and claustrophobia that takes you to the top.

Do you know what this is? Am I the only one who thinks it's funny. Actually it could be one of two things. It's either a picture of a bare foot or a ......

She wasn't too happy about my joke.

A big paddle boat wheel driver thingy. It was huge.

Really nice outside. Cool and misty. Not too crowded. They were setting up for the fireworks.

I walked too far and uphill for this shot.

There were a LOT of bugs. It was like a blood-sucking picnic. Have you ever been bitten on the finger tip by a mosquito?

Drove around downtown with the top down for a bit. Tons of old architecture as well as old vacant buildings. I found one for $80,000 that I REALLY wanted. There was a news story about the city going to demolish a historical warehouse. People were upset about it. I went and saw it. It didn't even have a roof. They were going to smash it in the morning. I would have hung around to see it get blown up but they said it was too close to other buildings to do an implosion. Bummer. I guess they were "doing their doody." (a Wreck-it-Ralph saying.)

The sky was an amazing purple tonight. It took my breath away. Ok, it might have been the walk but it was still mesmerizing.

I enjoyed the views and angles.

Got there too late for the Zoo and Budweiser Brewery tour. The downtown excursion made it worthwhile though,
